Hannah D'Apice

Dr. Hannah K. D’Apice

Hi! I’m a Lecturer at Stanford University in the Civics, Liberal, and Global Education (COLLEGE) Program, where I facilitate dialogue-based seminars on liberal education, civic responsibility, and global interconnectedness. I received my PhD from Stanford in 2025.

My research examines the transnational and historical sociology of organizational structures, policies, and leadership in education, especially as related to racial and gender inequality. I am an educator at heart, and have taught extensively on topics across education, sociology, and organizational theory.

Prior to my doctoral studies I managed randomized controlled trials evaluating the effectiveness of edtech products, and taught professionally for four years in Texas and Singapore. According to one of my former sixth-graders, I am a “hard woman.”

Feel free to reach out via hdapice [at] stanford [dot] edu to connect or for a copy of my CV, which contains a full list of my research, teaching, and service experience.
